The 2020 scholarship program is here!!!

The purpose of the scholarship is to help others triumph over loss by giving hope for the future at a time when it is much needed. Awarding college scholarships to deserving high school seniors is one way the Foundation can do its part.

Amount of Award:
First place is a one time, non-renewable, minimum award of $3,000 will be paid to the school for which the recipient provides proof of enrollment. Additional awards may be made at the discretion of the judges and Board of Directors.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:

  • For any high school senior who, in their lifetime, has lost a parent, legal guardian, or sibling.

  • Proof of loss in the form of a copy of the death certificate, or equivalent legal document, is required.

  • The student must be enrolled in a public or private high school in Palm Beach or Martin County, Florida.

  • Financial need is not a consideration.

Judging:
Judging will be based on each applicant’s overall prior and continuing achievements, including activity in school organizations, the community, and athletics, as well as their academic record, and interviews in which the applicants will discuss their career plans and personal aspirations.

All applicants are encouraged to visit the Foundation web site:

www.brianamariecoxfoundation.org

to better communicate in their application essay how their plans and interests coincide with the vision, mission, motto, and principles of the Foundation.

Deadline:
Applications must be postmarked on or before February 28, 2020
